Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages. Your expertise in diagnosing and treating various eye conditions will contribute to the overall health and well-being of our patients. Duties: - Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, and ocular health conditions - Diagnose and treat various eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy - Prescribe corrective lenses or contact lenses based on individual patient needs - Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care - Educate patients on proper eye care practices and preventive measures - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems - Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Skills: - Proficiency in using Epic or similar electronic health record systems - Experience in senior care and understanding the unique eye care needs of elderly patients - Knowledge of vital signs assessment and interpretation - Familiarity with ophthalmology procedures and techniques - Understanding of aseptic technique in maintaining a sterile environment during procedures - Ability to accurately code medical procedures for billing purposes - Strong knowledge of anatomy as it relates to the eyes and visual system - Commitment to upholding HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient privacy - Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus We offer competitive compensation packages, including benefits such as medical insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
